Prioritized Maintenance List

We will be working on this list during the April 25, May 9 and 16 work days as well as at Helping Hands Family Camp

  • E= items that need a licensed plumber or electrician or someone with extensive knowledge

Must Do Items before Helping Hands

  •  Demolish the old Double Wide and haul any items that can be donated to Habitat for Humanity and unuseable items to the dump. If not completed can be finished during Helping Hands Camp. 
  • Procure used fire hoses to be placed on the cement edges of the Tepee pads. Must be completed by May 22, 2015.
  •  Replace water valve to cabins and RV hook ups before May 29, 2015.
  •  E Replace flooring in Chief's Cabin and install baseboards.
  •  Replace flooring in Room 2 bathroom.
  •  Clean all rooms in the long house. 
  •  Clean the chief and missionary cabins.
  •  Replace all toilet float systems in the bath house.
  •  Mow and weed eat.
  •  Replace all poles on tepees (6 per tepee- if anyone wants to go cut beetle kill lodgepole these could be used.) If purchased these would cost $800!

 

First Priority: Items anytime between April 25 and June 16 or at Helping Hands unless otherwise noted

  • Complete entry to the Trading Post 
  • E   Repair the Eat’Um House bathroom wall next to the ceiling where the tape has popped loose.
  • The office air conditioner needs an air-tight surround built for it to maximize cooling efficiency and to keep out moisture. The propane heater and stack need removed and the hole in the ceiling and roof needs repaired.
  • The Camp office electrical needs split between two breakers.
  • E A trench needs to be dug from outside longhouse electrial box to the yard light pole and new electrical conduit and wire need to be run in the trench and connected on both ends.
  • E Remove existing wall and kitchen of craft house and build a lockable cabinet in Southeast Corner.
  • Clean and organize the craft house.
  • Clean all windows and walls in the Eat’um House.
  • Plant additional plants in Dee’s Garden and flower bed beside the office
  • Clean and organize the recreation room and the trading post.
  • Spread wood chips under obstacles on obstacle course (have chips, please bring tools)
  • Weed eat life’s trail (bring weed eater- we only have one)
  • Set up all tepees (During Helping Hands Camp Only)
  • Set up the archery area and the rules for archery. This is a must – a state regulation!
  • Re-Stain all existing decks and obstacle course equipment and stain screen door on the Trading Post, 
  • E Straighten the tubing hill and re-work the creek with either a bridge or really large culvert. Must be done by October 3, 2015. 
  • E Install exterior doors on the long house rooms. May be done anytime between April 25 and Oct. 3, 2015.
  • Redo skirting of Worship house. Materials will be provided, please bring tools to work with wood.
  • Tear down old barn along life's trail and haul any unusable items to the dump.
  • Build a matching deck on the chief's cabin.
  • Build a new surround deck on the craft house.
  • Level up bridge of Pardon.
  • Paint all wood buildings. Must be done between April 25 and Oct. 3, 2015.
  • Install Gable vents on the East and West ends of the Eatum house.

Second Priority

  • E  Build a covered deck on the Eatum House. Must be done by October 3, 2015
  • E  The exterior of the tractor shed needs rebuilt-walls and roof. The plan is to use corrugated metal left over from old barns.
  • E    Build a large locking cabinet in the Eat’um House for storing games and retreat items. (need all materials donated except hardware)  This is not a necessity but is a dream for the future.
  • E    Install and possibly paint screen doors on the back and front doors of the craft house, the office, chief’s cabin, and missionary cabin. (32” doors-need to purchase these. They are shorter than a standard door so we may have to buy metal storm doors. Can be purchased from Habitat for Humanity as long as the frames come with them.) 
  • Replace all old light fixtures in rooms and bathrooms in the Long House. Fixtures will be provided. 
  • E  Run electric and conduit for all RV hook ups. 
  • E  Run a simple water line from the RV hook ups to the Trading Post and install a hydrant.
