SUMMER "SOLID ROCK" CAMPS
Age 7-Grade 4:
Chief: Mr. Zach Kell
Zach and his wife Leslie live in Grand Junction. Zach grew up here at Tepee Bible Camp, starting as a camper at age 7. He attended thru grade 10 volunteering at age 14 as Jr. Staff, and at age 16 as a Counselor-In-Training, After graduating from Grand Junction High School, he volunteered as a Sr. Counselor, and joined the camp Board this January. Zach interned as a Youth Leader at a Church in AZ during his college years, has been a speaker at two of our Teen Guys Retreats, and the Emcee at our Spring Smoke Signal Dinner. He and Leslie are very active in their local church and are also co-owners of The Great Escape in Grand Junction.
Bible Teacher: Jeani Kell
Our Bible teacher for the age 7-4th grade camp is Ms. Jeani Kell. Jeani is a long time resident of the Grand Junction area, a former school teacher, a current Sunday School/Children’s Church teacher, the current Children’s Ministry Director at River of Life Alliance Church in Grand Junction and the Area Coordinator of Child Evangelism Fellowship. Jeani reared three sons, loves children, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We are excited to be working with her and excited for all our boys and girls to get acquainted with her!
Music Leader:
Our music/worship leader for the age 7-Grade 4 camp is Mrs. Gwen Christlieb from Grand Junction, CO. Gwen has been a substitute teacher, worked with students with Autism, volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher and is currently involved as a Children’s Worship Leader at River of Life Alliance Church in Grand Junction. Gwen has a great enthusiasm for Worship, involving campers using some sign language and motions.

Grade 5-7:
Chief: Mr. John Chapman
Chief John Chapman also grew up at Tepee Bible Camp and is now the Chairman of our Board of Directors. John worked his way up through the ranks as Jr. Staff, Counselor In Training, Sr. Counselor, and volunteering for several years at work days and many other ways. He and his wife, Wendy, have 4 active children ages 8 through almost 16
. Their children serve at camp as well. They have been kitchen helpers, Jr. Staff, and the oldest will be a C.I.T. this year! John loves working with middle and high school age kids; their need for a larger van to haul kids to their church’s youth group says it all! He and Wendy are active with the local 4-H and are also business owners and entrepreneurs.
