About Tepee Bible Camp

Located 7.5 miles south of the Rifle city limits on West Mamm Creek, Teepee Bible Camp is situated on a lovely wooded 40 acre tract just 3 miles from the White River National Forest.

Teepee Bible Camp is a non-profit, nondenominational, Bible-based camp incorporated by the State of Colorado.

All boys and girls, ages 7 through 17 are accepted regardless of race, national origin, or denominational affiliation. We believe that a group experience should be included in the life of every boy and girl.

Our campers are separated into "Tribes".  Our goal is to encourage campers to be Trustworthy, Respectful, Inspiring, Brave, Encouraging, Servants...  TRIBES!

Summer camps are conducted on a theme of tribal life and Indian lore. Bible Study and Worship, recreation, Gaga Ball, crafts, hiking, group games, tepee competition, and campfire activities are part of each camp's program.

CAMP MISSION STATEMENT
To provide each camper with a group living experience, offering Christian, educational, and recreational activities in an outdoor environment.

The most important point of our program is the teaching of the Word of God by competent, qualified teachers  We give every child the opportunity to claim Christ as their Savior and Lord. The main objective is to instruct each camper to a personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and to provide them with tools to help them daily connect with God and enable them to cope with the pressures of life. Compassionate counselors are provided with a dedicated staff to meet the needs of each child spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially.

Teepee Bible Camp is a ministry of faith. We will do what is necessary to see that every youth wishing to have a camp experience has that opportunity. Our camp price will remain as low as we can possibly keep it. The camp is financed solely by gifts of God's people who have a love for boys and girls. This is done by using the generous gifts of others who have a heart for children’s camping and ministry. There are no salaries paid to any camp workers. All staff members, Board Members, and Camp Directors are unpaid volunteers.

Statement of Faith and Convictions

  • That "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God", by which we understand the whole book calIed the Bible: That it is inerrant in the original writing and that it's teaching and authority is absolute, supreme and final. That the Holy Spirit guided the Holy men of old in all that they wrote. 2 Peter 1;21; 2 Timothy 3:16.'
  • The God head eternally exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature, attributes and perfection, John 10:30, 36; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
  • The Personality and Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, truly God, and truly man, John 1:1- 3; Philippians 2:5-11.
  • Man was created in the image of God, after His likeness, as stated in the word of God, but the whole human race fell in the fall of the first Adam. Titus 3:5; Romans 3:1-23.
  • That Jesus Christ became the sinner's substitute before God and died as a propitiatory sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:23-25.
  • In the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ; that His body was raised from the dead according the Scriptures and that He ascended into Heaven and sits on the right hand of God as the believers’ high priest and advocate. Acts 10:40,41; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6.
  • That Jesus Christ in the fullness of the blessings He has secured by His death and resurrection, is received by faith alone, and that the moment one trusts in Him as their Savior they pass out of death into everlasting life, justified from all things. Ephesians 2:6-8; John 1:12.
  • That the Church is composed of all those who truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.   1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:22.
  • That all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are led into a life of separation from worldly and sinful practices and should abstain from such amusements and habits as will cause others to be stumbled or bring reproach upon the Cross of Christ. Romans 12:1,2; James 4;4;
    1Corinthians 8:9-13.
  • In the evangelization of the world; that the supreme mission of the people of God in this age is to preach the gospel to every creature. That special emphasis should be placed upon the evangelization of children. Mark 16:15; Matthew 28;18; Acts 1:8; Mark 10:13-16.
  • In the personal return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; the coming again of Jesus Christ is the "Blessed Hope" set before us, for which we should be constantly looking. Acts 1;11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.
  • That the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at death immediately pass into His presence, and there remain in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming, when the soul and body re-united shall be with him forever in
    glory. 2 Corinthians 15;35-37; Romans 8:23.
  • That the souls of the lost remain after death in misery until the final judgment of the great white throne, when souls and body re-united at the resurrection shall be cast "into the lake of fire" which is the "second death", to be "punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power". 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9; Revelation 21:8, and 20:15.
  • In the reality and personality of Satan, "that old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world". Revelation 12:9; 1 Peter 5:8
  • That those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior may have full assurance of their Salvation. John 10:28; 1 John 5:13.
  • We further believe God created and established marriage as an institution intended to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman. We believe that marriage reflects Christ’s love and sacrifice for the Church, with Christ as the Bridegroom and the Church as His bride. Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:21-33.
  • We believe God created and purposed sexual activity to be reserved only between one man and one woman who are married to each other. We believe any other sexual activity outside of God’s intended purpose would be contrary to His will and sinful. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 15:18-20.
  • We believe that God created human beings in His own image and in two distinct and equally important biological sexes, male or female. We believe that rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of God’s sovereign plan for one’s life. Genesis 1:26-27.
  • We believe that sin can distort human understanding and practice of marriage, gender, and sexual activity. We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that all people must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.  Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.
  • In light of the Holy Scriptures and human experience concerning the damaging consequences of the use of alcohol as a beverage, the use of illicit drugs, and the use of marijuana in any form, and in light of the findings of medical science regarding the detrimental effect of both alcohol and tobacco in any form, including vaping, to the body and mind, our position is abstinence rather than moderation. Holy Scripture teaches that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. With loving regard for ourselves and others we ask our staff to embrace total abstinence from all intoxicants. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
