FALL 2023 PRIORITIZED MAINTENANCE LIST

Projects Highlighted in Purple are spoken for . Projects highlighted in yellow are completed but need clean up crews.

Who: We invite Sunday School classes, Bible Study groups, Life Groups, Teen Groups, Men’s Groups, Women’s groups, Scouting or 4-H groups, Family groups, and individuals to schedule a day to help with these projects. Also, groups from Alpine Bank or other businesses are welcome to come during week-days as Community Service Days for our Charitable Non-Profit.  

When: July and August

We will be working on this list during all work days AND any week days you wish to come but you must call at least 48 hours in advance for weekdays and Sundays so we may check our personal schedules to enable us to work alongside you and provide materials and any other assistance you may require. We provide drinking water and snacks during the week and lunch on Saturday. Otherwise, please bring your own lunch. Our tool supply is limited so bring your own tools unless otherwise noted on the list below.  Contact us at (970) 876-2108 or (970) 618-5908. Items to be completed by September 30th.

E= items that need a licensed plumber or electrician or someone with extensive knowledge.

  1. Attach plywood sheets to 2 new platforms and paint with water resistant paint. 
  2. Paint the floors of the new platforms with a special water-resistant paint- 2 people per platform. (Groups welcome.) Complete by September 23rd. 
  3. Demolish the old double wide and haul any items that can be donated to Habitat for Humanity and unusable items to the dump. Will demolish on a date To Be Announced on Facebook and in email newsletter. We can use groups as clean up on dates following the announced date. And we may need funds to rent a construction dumpster.
  4. Folks with Pick-up trucks to haul any unusable materials to the landfill, the camp will provide funds for the fees and fuel
  5. E Need an experienced plumber to re seat a toilet on the wall of the men's side of the bath house..
  6. Paint a drywall area in the Eat’um House (Kitchen) bathroom. 
  7. Paint the interior walls of the two cabins, the Trading Post (Camp Store), and the Dining Hall Kitchen and Bathroom. Groups welcome. Have paint, brushes, rollers, paint trays, and painter’s tape. Just need painters.
  8. Replace the west end posts of the zip line. Have poles just need a tractor or auger to drill holes for the poles.
  9. Touch up Caulk and paint areas on west side of all cabins.
  10. The cross on the hill needs to have lights restrung and any other maintenance performed. This would be a great project for a couple of youth and an adult.
  11. Apply new stain to the 5 Picnic tables and 2 or 3 decks.
  12. E A tall, leaning, mostly dead tree near the director’s house needs to be cut down. Need someone with expertise to do this or someone willing to donate funds to have it done.  (Complete by
  13. Parking lot gravel and grading/leveling. Date to be announced on Facebook and in email newsletter. Need about 4-6 strong folks to spread the road base and gravel.
  14. Teens and adults to help mend barbed wire fences and replace broken fence posts and install some new t-posts.
  15. Replace screens in several Long House Room screen doors.
  16. LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!! GROUPS OF 4 PEOPLE TO HELP Remove the Tarps and Disassemble the uprights on the Tepees. Each Tepee takes approximately 1 hour to take down.
