November 2013 Newsletter

posted by Miss Marie @ 12:06pm, Monday 11 November 2013.

Well here we are almost halfway through fall and winter is fast approaching! We have already had several snowfalls here at camp, but most of the snow is gone for now.

Our winterizing of buildings is complete so now we look forward to 2014 and our winter snow camps. Our theme this winter is "I Want to Know You More".  Our lessons will be about who Jesus is and who He wants to be in our lives. Activities include tubing, snow sculpting, Bible lessons, Missionary hour, Music, ping pong and foosball. We only have room for 24 campers at each winter camp so register early! It only takes $15 to reserve your spot in a winter camp and you must pre-register by January 17 to avoid an additonal $10 late fee.

How To Register Online: If you will click on the Camp Sign Up tab and then go to Camp Registration, then click on the Sign Up for Camp Online, you will find everything you need to register for any of our 2014 camps. Just don't forget to send in your pre-registration fee by the pre-registration deadline. We look forward to seeing you there!

Volunteers needed: If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity during the 2014 camping season, please go to our website and fill out a Staff Application. You can submit this online as well. When you get to the website navigate to the Staff Applications button. Move over to the right to the bright green Staff Applications area you will then see two subjects: Camp Positions and Staff Sign Up. We suggest you read the descriptions of the camp positions available and then fill out the Staff Application under Staff Sign Up. Once you hit the submit button your application will be e-mailed directly to the Camp Directors. You should have a reply from them within 48 hours. If you do not have internet access please call the camp number above and we will return your call as soon as possible. Our 2014 camp schedule is as follows:

Our greatest need in any season is Adult Counselors, Cooks, and Medical Staff. We are trying to announce our next season's dates far enough in advance for people to request vacation days to fulfill staff positions. Many of our Adult Counselors are college students. As you know, higher education is expensive so we are asking you to pray about sponsoring a college student as an adult counselor with love gifts. When the Lord lays this on your heart please feel free to contact Marie at the above phone number or via the camp e-mail address. She will then give you the current plan for sponsoring counselors. If you are a college student and would like to volunteer but need financial support during your weeks at camp, please call or e-mail Marie so she can help you get the support you need.

Prayer Requests:

  • The  2014 Winter and Summer Camp Staff positions will be filled.
  • The spiritual stability of the 2014 Winter and Summer Camp Staff .
